USCIS Enacts Changes to Existing Fee Schedule

Today the USCIS announced that proposed changes to USCIS filing fees will go into effect on November 23, 2010. You may view the complete list of the new fee schedule here.

While the fee for a standard immigrant visa petition (Form I-130) was increased by $65, the filing fee for and K1 fiance visa (Form I-129F) was reduced by $95.

No parking at USCIS Detroit Office

Effective February 9, 2009 thee will be no parking available at the USCIS Detroit District office on Mt. Elliot. This is a temporary measure until the USCIS moves to its new facility located at 11411 E. Jefferson, Detroit, MI.

The USCIS reports that it will move into the new facility by mid-March.

I will post any information I receive about suggestions for parking or updates on the new USCIS office opening.
